The short version: we collect your email when you join the waitlist, and we use cookies to see how the site's used and to reach people who'd like Zero State. We don't sell your information. You can opt out of ad tracking or ask us to delete your info at any time.
Who we are
Zero State LLC ("Zero State," "we," "us") is a Michigan company based in Holt, Michigan. This policy covers drinkzerostate.com and any forms on it. Questions go to julius@drinkzerostate.com.
What we collect
Information you give us. When you join the waitlist, we collect what the form asks for, such as your name and email address. If you email us, we keep that conversation.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, we and our partners use cookies and similar tools to collect device and usage information: pages viewed, how you got here, browser and device type, general location (city or region), and how you scroll and click.
How we use it
- To send you launch news, early access, and drop announcements you signed up for.
- To understand what's working on the site and improve it.
- To show Zero State ads to people likely to be interested, and to measure whether those ads work.
- To answer your messages and keep the site secure.
Who helps us run things
We share information only with service providers that help us operate, and only for that purpose:
- Hosting and forms: Netlify (website hosting) and Tally (waitlist form).
- Email and records: Google Workspace and Notion, and an email marketing provider when we start sending launch emails.
- Analytics: Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity. Clarity records anonymized sessions (like mouse movement and scrolling) and masks text you type.
- Advertising: Meta (Facebook and Instagram) and TikTok pixels, which let us measure ads and reach similar audiences.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or as part of a merger or sale of the business.
We don't sell your info
We do not sell your personal information for money. Some state laws treat ad pixels as "sharing" for targeted advertising. You can opt out of that anytime, as described below.
Your choices
- Ad tracking: . We also automatically honor the Global Privacy Control signal if your browser sends one.
- Emails: every email includes an unsubscribe link.
- Access, correction, or deletion: email julius@drinkzerostate.com with "Privacy request" in the subject and we'll respond within 30 days.
- Cookies: you can also block or clear cookies in your browser settings. You can opt out of Google Analytics at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
How long we keep it
We keep waitlist information until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it, and analytics data for no longer than the default retention in those tools.
Kids
Zero State contains caffeine and isn't intended for children. This site isn't directed to anyone under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information. If you think a child has given us information, email us and we'll delete it.
Security
We use reputable providers and reasonable safeguards to protect your information, but no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
Changes
If we update this policy, we'll change the date at the top. Big changes will be noted on the site or by email.
